What’s been done?

A much-needed face-lift on a strict $21k budget. Working with the owner, we kept the walls, flooring, and every structural component intact and left the MEPs untouched to keep the build streamlined. The cabinets were designed for maximal storage with an Italian manufacturer we hold a wholesale contract with.

Shaker white cabinets, Calcutta gold counters, built-in appliances and cooktop, a new 36″ sink under a new window, and undercabinet lighting.

The goal: stop the soil from claiming the backyard. Our answer was a cost-effective retaining wall built from CMU block, backed by a pressure-treated wood fence.

The owner was preparing to list the house and wanted the front to carry it. We worked through multiple designs together and landed on a door that was cost-effective and true to the home’s look.

Through our wholesale connection with Northwest Door, the job came in at $5k and was finished in under 8 hours.

White shaker cabinets, concrete-look counters, floor tile, a subway tile backsplash, and brushed nickel hardware and fixtures.

We drew new plans, pulled permits, and demoed the existing kitchen, flooring, and walls down to the studs, then replaced the old plaster with all-new drywall. A mint green paint contrasts the all-white and gray palette for a warm, homey feel. The family chose tile flooring and Calcutta counters tough enough to stand up to two toddler boys.

The owner’s budget was $34k. The job finished at $31k - clean, fast-paced, and under budget.
